As the Church's "patron of learning," Saint Thomas Aquinas championed a philosophy based on the harmonious integration of faith and reason. Today that integration is central to the mission of The Catholic University of America, which defines itself as a "community of scholars, both faculty and students, set apart to discover the truth in all its forms." To provide recognition and to reflect our gratitude, the University offers membership in the Saint Thomas Aquinas Society to those living alumni and friends who, in accord with the legacy of Saint Thomas, wish to preserve and further that mission for generations to come, and who affirm their commitment to do so by means of a planned gift.

You can be recognized as a member of the Saint Thomas Aquinas Society by committing a gift to The Catholic University of America through any of the planned giving vehicles we currently administer, including deferred gifts and income-producing gifts. To confirm membership, it is helpful if you provide the Gift Planning Staff with written verification of the University's inclusion in your estate or financial plans. This may include a copy of the relevant portion of your Will or Trust agreement, a letter from your attorney, or the beneficiary designation page of a life insurance policy or retirement account. To confirm the appropriate documentation, please contact our Gift Planning Staff.
As a member of the Saint Thomas Aquinas Society, you will receive three issues annually of Revelations, our gift planning newsletter, which addresses charitable giving techniques, donor profiles, and University highlights. You will also be invited to appropriate stewardship celebrations and informed of University events and milestones. Perhaps most importantly, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that your planned gift leaves a legacy that will benefit future generation of students at The Catholic University of America.
