24th Annual Christmas Concert and Reception

Pre-Concert Reception - Dec. 6, 5:30 p.m.

The CUA Alumni Association reception will be held in the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception's executive conference room beginning at 5:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to stop by for a cup of cocoa and a seasonal meet-and-greet with fellow alumni and friends before taking their seats in the Great Upper Church for the concert.

Pre-registered guests unable to attend the pre-concert reception but still wishing to
attend the concert may proceed directly to the Great Upper Church, where a CUA staff
member will be happy to show you to our reserved seating area.

There is no charge for this event, but reservations are required.

Concert - 7:30 p.m. (Must be in seats by 7:10 p.m.)

Start the Christmas season on a beautiful note! Join us on Friday, Dec. 6, at 7:30 p.m., for
the 2013 Annual Christmas Concert for Charity at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate
in Washington, D.C. The concert will feature the Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Choir, University Singers, University Chorus, and Women's Chorus. Leo Nestor, Justine Bayard Ward Professor and director of the Institute of Sacred Music, will conduct. Selections will include Three Carols by Peter Warlock; music of Hassler, Praetorius, Mendelssohn, and Nestor; Christmas villancicos from Spain and the New World; and a premiere of new work by CUA graduate student Erik Abrahamson.

A free-will offering will be taken.

The CUA Alumni Association has secured special reserved seating (limit of four seats per R.s.v.p.).

ALL SEATS MUST BE CLAIMED BY 7:10 p.m. At that time, all remaining seats will be made
available to the general public. The concert is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m.
