Day 1: Thursday, Nov. 21

Depart the U.S.

Fly with CUA and depart from Newark Airport and take an overnight flight into Shannon.

Day 2: Friday, Nov. 22

Shannon Arrival, Limerick Tour, and Bunratty Folk Park

Our own CIE Tours driver will welcome us at Shannon Airport upon completing customs formalities. From there, we will stop for a traditional Irish breakfast before:
Bus tour of Limerick along the River Shannon.
Travel onto Bunratty to tour the Folk Park, a collection of farmhouses from different regions of Ireland, among other traditional buildings.
Enjoy some free time in the afternoon upon checking into our hotel.
Our group will meet for dinner in the Great Hall of Bunratty Castle for a Middle Ages dinner.

Overnight: Bunratty Castle Hotel

Day 3: Saturday, Nov. 23

St. Brigid's Shrine, Cliffs of Moher & Galway Panoramic

Leaving Bunratty, we will travel north through the Burren country towards Galway:
Visit St. Brigid's Well in Liscannor.
Visit the Cliffs of Moher, 700 feet above the sea.
Enjoy a bus tour of Galway upon arrival, including the City Museum, National University of Galway, and the Cathedral of Our Lady.
After checking in to our hotel, enjoy the rest of the afternoon exploring the city at your leisure.

Dinner and Overnight: Meyrick Hotel, Galway

Day 4: Sunday, Nov. 24

Mass at Galway Cathedral, Connemara tour, Kylemore Abbey

After Mass at Galway Cathedral:
Tour of Connemara
Stop in the village of Spiddal, whose inhabitants still speak the Irish language, and practice other living traditions.
Enjoy a bus tour of the countryside on the way to 19th-century neo-Gothic mansion, Kylemore Abbey.
Enjoy touring the abbey's Victorian gardens, chapel, and restored residence.
Late afternoon and evening are on your own to explore Galway

Overnight: Meyrick Hotel, Galway

Day 5: Monday, Nov. 25

Travel to Dublin

Travel from Galway to the center of Ireland, Clonmacnoise.
Explore the ancient monastery founded by St. Ciaran in 545 A.D.
Upon arrival in Dublin, embark on a guided tour around Dublin city center.
Visit Guinness Storehouse, with a quick stop to the rooftop bar, Gravity.
Enjoy free time after checking in to our hotel.
Finish our 14th trip to Ireland with a group dinner at Taylors Three Rock for dinner and a lively show of traditional Irish songs and dancing.

Overnight: Academy Hotel, Dublin

Depart the U.S. at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 21 from Newark Airport. Enjoy an overnight flight on United Airlines Flt. 25, arriving in Shannon at 6:55 a.m. local.

Depart Dublin at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 26. Land at Washington Dulles airport at 3:30 p.m. local.

This trip includes a significant amount of walking.

Trip Payment and Cancellation Details:
Final payment must be made before Sept. 1, 2013. Cancellations received prior to Oct. 1 will be entitled to a full refund less the $400 deposit. All cancellations must be made in writing. No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 45 days prior to the trip. The Catholic University of America is not an agent of CIE Tours International or the suppliers or contractors of any of the services described herein, including, but not limited to, airlines, suppliers of hotel, transportation and any other tour-related services. CUA is not responsible for any negligent acts and/or omissions of these independent contractors, their employees, agents, servants or their representatives. This tour package does not include accidental death or injury insurance for travelers. Optional travel insurance will be made available to confirmed passengers. CUA shall be exempt from all liability in respect to detention, delays, loss, damage, sickness or injury howsoever and by whosoever caused and whatever kind incurring of or to the passenger at any time when the passenger is participating in the Ireland Pub and Shopping Tour. CUA is not responsible for loss of luggage or any other incidental items. The Itinerary specified herein is subject to change without notice. Substitutions, if necessary, will be of a comparable quality. CUA reserves the right to cancel this tour at any time prior to departure and refund monies, including deposits, in full settlement of its obligation. In the event of cancellation by CIE Tours International, CUA's liability shall be limited to a refund of all payments made by the tour participants to CUA.
