CAPITOL HILL NETWORKING RECEPTION -- APRIL 2 
The Catholic University Alumni Association invites you to join fellow CUA graduates for a Capitol Hill Networking Reception on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. The reception will be held in the U.S. Capitol Visitors Center Congressional Atrium. REUNIONS 2014: FOURS AND NINES

Join the CUA Office of Career Services for the Spring 2014 Career Fair on March 20, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., in the Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center, Great Room. The spring Senators Club luncheon will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014, in Great Room B (upper floor) of the Pryzbyla Center at Catholic University. CAREER DEVELOPMENT TIPS
March is Women's History Month so the following statistic and article by two leading women executives are timely: Despite earning the majority of college degrees, woman make up just 19% of the U.S. Congress, 5% of Fortune 500 CEOs and 10% of heads of state. Most leadership positions are held by men, so society continues to expect leadership to look and act male. Sheryl Sandberg of Facebook and Anna Maria Chavez, leader of Girl Scouts of the USA, say it's time to end "engendered speech." Read their article in the Wall Street Journal

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL WINS ECAC CHAMPIONSHIP
The Catholic University women's basketball team won the 2014 Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Women's South Basketball Championship Tournament on March 9 with a 75-63 win over McDaniel College. To read more, click here.

CUA FOOTBALL ANNOUNCES FALL SLATE
Catholic University Head Football Coach Dave Dunn announced the fall 2014 football schedule on Friday, March 7. This season features six home games, which will all take place on Saturday, and four road contests. To read more, click here.

CARDINAL BURKE TO GIVE PROVOST LECTURE
Cardinal Raymond Burke, B.A. 1970, M.A. 1971, will give the 11th Annual James H. Provost Memorial Lecture at 4 p.m., Thursday, March 20, in the Pryzbyla Center, Great Room. To learn more, click here.  

EXPERTS APPROVE FULTON SHEEN MIRACLE
The canonization cause for Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, S.T.B. 1920, J.C.B. 1920, advanced this week as medical experts at the Vatican approved a miracle attributed to his intercession. To read more, click here

CUA INTRODUCES NEW MASTER IN CATECHESIS
Beginning this summer, the School of Theology and Religious Studies at The Catholic University of America will offer a new academic program, the Master of Catechesis (M.Cat.). To learn more, click here.  

LAW SCHOOL TO LAUNCH D.C.'S FIRST MASTER'S DEGREE IN LAW FOR NON LAWYERS 
CUA's Columbus School of Law is offering a new Master of Legal Studies (M.L.S.) program, starting this summer. Designed for working professionals, the program is this area's first to offer the study of the law in a chosen field without committing to a J.D. degree. For details, click here
