ALUMNI GATHERING BEFORE MEN'S BASKETBALL @ HAVERFORD COLLEGE -- NOV. 26
Join the CUA Alumni Association for an alumni gathering at Haverford College before the game on Monday, Nov. 26. The gathering begins at 5:30 and the game is at 7 p.m. For more information and to register, click here.

BOSTON CHRISTMAS PARTY -- DEC. 13
Kick off the holiday season with the CUA Boston Alumni Chapter at the annual Christmas party at Maggiano's Boston on Thursday, Dec. 13, from 6 to 9 p.m. The cost is $25 per person and includes open bar and heavy hors d'oeuvres. Catholic University President John Garvey will be in attendance to wish alumni and their guests a merry Christmas. To register, click here.

PHILABUNDANCE -- NOV. 24
Join alumni in the Philadelphia area at Philabundance, on Saturday, Nov. 24, from 8:30 a.m. to noon. We will be packing and sorting food within the warehouse. Please wear your CUA gear! For more information and to register, click here.

OPERATION GRATITUDE -- DEC. 15
Join the SoCal Alumni Chapter at Operation Gratitude on Saturday, Dec. 15, from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the National Guard Armory. For more information and to register, click here.

NEW YORK SERVICE PROJECT - DEC. 15
Join alumni in the New York area for a Kmart Shopping Day on Saturday, Dec. 15, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Catholic University is partnering with Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York on its annual St. Nicholas Project by providing coats, hats, gloves, and blankets to those in need in the New York region. WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA -- DEC. 15
In honor of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in defending our nation's freedom, on Saturday, Dec. 15, the CUA Alumni Association with Wreaths Across America will join once again to lay Christmas wreaths on the graves of fallen U.S. soldiers interred at Arlington National Cemetery. TRAVEL

ETERNAL ROME AND HISTORIC ASSISI TOUR -- MAY 20-26
The CUA Alumni Association invites all alumni and guests on the Eternal Rome and Historic Assisi Tour -- May 20-26, 2013. Highlights of the trip include: VIP tickets to the Papal Audience; visits and admissions fees for the Vatican Museums, the Coliseum, and Roman Forum; and professional guides throughout the tour. THREE PROFESSORS HONORED FOR TEACHING EXCELLENCE
Three professors were honored Nov. 6 at Catholic University's annual teaching awards ceremony and reception, held at the Edward J. Pryzbyla University Center. With fellow faculty members, staff, family, and President John Garvey standing by, Provost James Brennan presented the 2012-2013 Faculty Awards for Teaching Excellence to George Mavroeidis, assistant professor of civil engineering; Andrew Weaver, associate professor of music; and Stephen Wright, professor of English. LIVING ROOF ON TOP OF AQUINAS HALL

CUA WOMEN'S FIELD HOCKEY WINS SECOND STRAIGHT LANDMARK CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP

CUA Women's Field Hockey captured its second straight Landmark Conference championship on Sunday, Nov. 4, downing Drew 3-2 inside Cardinal Stadium. CUA jumped in front 1-0 before the Rangers came back to tie the score, but the Cardinals scored the next two and held on for their second title in as many years. To read more, click here.
