SALVE REGINA DIGITAL LAB OPENED AT MULLEN LIBRARY

On Feb. 20, 2012, Catholic University hosted a reception for George and Breda Shelton, B.A. 1980, benefactors of the new
Salve Regina Digital Lab in the John K. Mullen of Denver Memorial Library. The lab provides important new tools for
CUA students, particularly the art students. Catholic University is tremendously grateful for the Sheltons' gift, which
funded renovations of the space for the lab, and to Jane Henson, 1956-1959, whose gift furnished the new space with
the necessary digital equipment.

CUA STUDENTS CHALLENGED TO DESIGN SUSTAINABLE SHUTTLE BUS SHELTERS

Following the success of the on-campus solar picnic table competition in 2010, this year's contest aims to cut down on the use of cars on campus by creating visible and comfortable shelters for people to wait for University shuttles. The contest challenges students to create shelters that are easy to find and designed to provide information on the shuttle bus service on campus. They also must function without using any outside power sources -- solar panels and batteries are suggested materials. To read the full story, click here.
