Purchase a Piece of Your Past!

On February 11, 2011, a wrecking ball chipped away at CUA's Southside residence halls, Spellman, Spalding, and Conaty Halls, to make room for new development.

The demolition paves the way for the next chapter in the history of South Campus, which is scheduled for redevelopment as a major gateway to the University. On nine acres along Michigan Avenue and Monroe Street, N.E., the developer selected by CUA is planning to build 761 residential units and 85,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space. The plans also call for artist studio space and a community arts center.

Bricks from the former residence halls can now be ordered below. Pick your
brick from either Spellman, Spalding, or Conaty. Each brick comes with a
certificate of authenticity. The $100 donation goes directly to the Annual
Fund. Supplies are limited, so order yours today.

Note: Bricks will be shipped at the end of March.
