Architecture Open House TONIGHT, May 20
The School of Architecture and Planning is hosting an open house for its Master of City and Regional Planning, Master of Science in Sustainable Design, and Certificate in Real Estate Development programs on Thursday, May 20, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Edward M. Crough Center for Architectural Studies.

CUA sweet hearts Ed Rogers, B.M.E. 2004, and Elizabeth Fette Rogers, B.M. 2006, welcomed their first child, Ruth Cecilia, on May 18.
W. Taylor Johnson, B.A. 1984, M.F.A. 1986, has been recognized by the Association of Graduate Liberal Studies as the first student in the world to earn a doctoral degree in liberal studies. William M. Gearty, B.A. 1978, an attorney in Nesconset, N.Y., has been appointed by RADM Scott J. Burhoe, superintendent, to the United States Coast Guard Academy's admissions management and policy board.

John Ahlgren, B.A. 1981, has had an interesting life as a financial auditor, traveling 80 percent of the year — a benefit that allowed him to periodically catch up with old CUA friends. A number of years after he graduated, Ahlgren was diagnosed with kidney disease. Fortunately for him, one of his best friends from CUA days — a doctor — has kept in contact.

CUA Acquires Illuminated Manuscript
“It’s the most exciting single acquisition made by Catholic University’s Rare Books and Special Collections since I was hired five years ago,” says Lenore Rouse, curator of that department at CUA’s John K. Mullen of Denver Memorial Library.

The CUA Alumni Association is currently compiling a list of Catholic University alumni currently residing in Virginia who might be interested in obtaining CUA vanity plates for their vehicles for a nominal registration fee.
