John H. Garvey, 61, dean of Boston College Law School, has been appointed president of The Catholic University of America. Garvey, who earned his law degree at Harvard and his undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame, has spent the last 34 years as a law school professor and administrator. To learn more, click here.

Kevin Long, B.A. 2006, was engaged to Bernadette Thompson on March 30, 2010. A wedding is planned for September 2010 in Reston, VA.

Sarah Brugnolotti Connolly, B.A. 2002, and her husband, Dr. Patrick Connolly, are thrilled to welcome their fourth boy, Peter Michael, born May 15, 2010. He joins big brothers James, 18 months, and four-year-old twins Dominick and Patrick.

Anita Ellen Miller Summers, B.A. 1982, is happy to announce the graduation of her son, Trey, from high school, and the retirement of her husband, William, from his job of 32 years in early June. The family is moving to Tucson this summer to escape the cold Midwest winters, travel and enjoy the company of their grandchildren.

Thirty-six CUA alumni gathered in Philadelphia on May 1, for the wedding of Mike Dungan, B.A. 2007, and Kerin Sweeney, B.A. 2006. The wedding took place at Old St. Joseph’s Church in downtown Philly and the reception was held at the Sheraton Society Hill.

Cardinal Basketball Academy
Coach Steve Howes will present the 18th Annual
Boys and Girls Basketball Camp at Catholic University.
The camp is offered to children ages 7 through 15.
Sessions will take place Monday, June 21, to Friday,
June 25; Monday, July 26, to Friday, July 30; and
